Sam Beckham is a fictional character in the Regents Walk comic series. He is one of the "cool" kids and likes to trade things, like baseball cards. He is one of the twelve Shadows, so his tale will be part of the Stories written series.

A student at Widow's Perch Elementary, Sam is distinguishable with his toothy grin, combed hair, and wardrobe that often includes suspenders. His dad owns Beckham Pawn in the downtown area. He keeps up on trends and is an excellent haggler when trading toys or books, a trait he has picked up from his dad.

Big Blue (Chapter One)

A student in Mrs. Hambridge's class, he introduces himself to Ms. Goodwin by simply saying that he likes television. He can later be seen sitting near Edgar at lunch. He is then seen at recess, among the group of kids making fun of Margaret, though he doesn't add to the insults. During computer class, he tells nearby Tom to knock it off after he keeps making his computer beep.

During a play rehearsal, after Aubrey's dad bursts in and drags his son out, Sam shouts out the question if "that guy is nuts".

Appearances In Stories

On the first day in class, in School, he is the first kid called up by Mrs. Hambridge to write his name and introduce himself, because he has the first surname in alphabetic order. On the second day, with the substitute teacher, he is in a big group with the triplets, Arlo, Edgar, and Indira.

Sam's best friend since they were very young, Max thinks Sam is just the coolest kid ever, and the two often hang out at his dad's pawn store together after school.

The two became friends in first grade, and they share a similar sense of humor, though Sam isn't as mean as Joshua can be. As long as it's in good fun, Sam will watch in amusement at the outrageous things Joshua sometimes does.
